Gilly and Karen are two dedicated child carers who have over 40 years of childcare experience based in barnstaple North Devon.

Gilly’s Childcare is a successful child minding business providing fun and education in all areas of learning and development.We provide government funded nursery education for your 3 & 4 year olds – 15 hours of free nursery education – 38 weeks of the year, which can be used at Gilly’s Childcare or split with another provider. 30 hours funding and free childcare for 2 year olds for those elegible for the 2gether scheme

Be able to concentrate on your work knowing your children are having a fun time at Gilly’s.

Activities organised during the day to suit the age and ability of the children, taking into consideration the child’s needs – if they are tired a quiet room is available. For the more boisterous children we have a large paved safe outside play area.

We can care for a maximum of 9 children under the age of 5 with a minimum staff ratio of 3 children per adult. My childminding assistants include Ben and John, both Ben and John have completed their CYPOP5. Ben is in the process of gaining his level 3 qualification. I continue my professional development with at least 20 hours training per year in line with nursery education requirements
